A Food Company required the installation of a vital piece of kit to improve food production rates. The objective was to achieve the minimum amount of downtime and disruption from food production and minimal contamination to the environment.
The installation of £1m, 7-tonne piece of kit into an existing factory environment in 12 hours. DPC successfully installed the 7-tonne kit by creating an opening in the factory wall and using a scaffold to hold the kit and ease it into position. We used our structural engineering expertise to ensure all movement was adequately supported. This was a food-safe area and so the DPC team were instructed and adherent to food-safe policies to eliminate contamination, minimise production down time and achieve the objectives within the timeframes allotted.
